Day 5 in Paris - La Louvre

I have one main thing to say about the Louvre... It is very very very VERY big. PJ and I started our day at 1100hrs and left at 1700hrs. And only managed to cover about 1/5 of what is housed there. At the halfway point we had to decide what we wanted to get done so we now have the obligatory shots of us standing next to the Venus de Milo and The Mona Lisa or "La Jaconde" as the French call her.

PJ was feeling much better today [Praise the Lord!  :-) ] and the weather was a heck of alot better because we spend most of the day indoors haha. The artwork is amazing. Even neanderthals like yours truly could appreciate. The only sad thing was that there wasn't time to see it all. Maybe we'll take another trip down if we have the time.

For the interested I have broken down the highlights of todays journey and have some suggestions. For people who like to see lots of dead guys and their mummified cats and dogs, go for the Egyptian exhibit. For those interested in saying "Jesus Christ!" alot I'd recommend Italian paintings. Bless me father I didn't mean it... :P

And finally if you're into seeing many pee pees in 3D then by all means check out the greek sculptures. They were a people very into capturing the pee pee in marble. ;-) Check out our pics on my facebook.

Actually according to The Da Vinci Code, Robert Langdon said it would take 5 weeks to properly view the 60 plus thousand artworks in the Louvre. ;p
